For already 4 years the Projektzentrum Dresden together with DaWanda as an exclusive partner, are organising “Handmade Creative & Design Markets” in more than 12 cities all over Germany.
For the first time, was this exhibition on the 28th and 29th January 2017 in Augsburg, at Augsburg Messe. Each visitor older than 12 years had to pay 5 Euro for the entrance. From then on, the trade fair hall is once a year a transshipment center for handmade design. The Kreativmarkt together with DaWanda is a platform for creative people, for creativity lovers and self-made items in small series made with heart and soul. In the modern ambience of the Augsburg trade fair, artists, designers and creative minds had the chance to present their favorite pieces and sell them in loving hands away from the mass consumption.
About 150 brands & DaWanda artists from all over Germany and Europe presented their handmade fashion, accessories, decorations, stationery, furniture and art. There were also few workshops for kids, and few places where you could drink or eat something.
I was waiting for this market so long and expected to see something really extraordinary. But it wasn’t so. Only few things were really one of a kind. I saw few stands that had nearly same products but different brand names. The workshops were also not so impressive. I made only few photos from the fair, as most of the people out there wouldn’t allow me to take pictures of their products. I think next time, I will not visit this Creative Market again.
